Leeds United face Bolton Wanderers today in a game that they need to win in order to win to keep up the pressure on Norwich City in first.

United go into the game on a run of four games following their horrific loss to West Brom. Against Darren Moore's side, Leeds put in their worst performance of the season as they were torn apart by a West Brom side that is one of the best attacking teams in the league.

Considering that Leeds have suffered so many injuries, it's incredibly impressive that Marcelo Bielsa's side have managed to maintain their presence near the top of the table.

Ahead of today's game, rumours began to emerge that Samu Saiz would leave the club and return to Spain. Unfortunately for the club it looks as though that move is going to happen as Yorkshire Evening Post journalist, Phil Hay reported that the Spaniard had been left out of today's squad.

The Breakdown

The midfielder has lost his place in the side recently and has mostly been used as a substitute by Bielsa. He hasn't been able to show a consistent form despite his obvious talent.

Leeds don't really have a midfield player that can take players on in tight areas while also be able to pull off that piece of magic in the final third.

His impending departure will now surely force Leeds into dipping into the transfer market next month. Not only is the club short in the area already but they need someone to replace Saiz.
