It was a tough start for West Ham this season as after a huge season of change which saw a raft of players join the club and Manuel Pellegrini brought in to replace David Moyes.
One of the new signings, Felipe Anderson, has been superb so far for the club and in tandem with Marko Arnautovic, he’s kept the club above water during their torrid fixture list which saw them face Chelsea, Man U, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool in their opening ten games of the season.
The Hammers are coming off two losses to Brighton and Tottenham and go into a tough game against Leicester City today.
Following summer signing, Andriy Yarmolenko’s injury, West Ham are going to need to dip into the January transfer market and according to Sport Witness, the London side will move for Atlanta forward and Arsenal target, Miguel Almiron.
According to the report, West Ham will have to put in a bid close to £25 million in order to capture the forward who has been a star in the MLS this season.
This season the forward has scored 12 goals in 32 games while also grabbing 13 assists and has been a huge part in Atlanta’s superb season. Rated at £9 million, the winger is completely unproven at the top level and as such, would be a slight gamble by West Ham but with the club lacking too many attacking options, he may just be the man to take them back into the top 10.
