Under Marcelo Bielsa, Leeds have turned into one of the most entertaining sides in the league and so far look like a very strong candidate to be promoted.

Now transformed into a side that plays a high-energy and attacking style of football Leeds have managed to dominate most of their opponents aside from draws against Millwall, Middlesbrough and Swansea.

Impressively, even without Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez, Leeds still managed to score three goals thanks to a Tyler Roberts brace. According to Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay, Marcelo Bielsa could promote a further three players into the first-team squad this season.

Hay specifically named Ryan Edmondson, Jack Clarke and Tom Pearce as potential candidates to be promoted which although on the face of it looks as though he's giving youth a chance, it also indicates that the club doesn't have too many other options.

The Breakdown

As with every club around the country, seeing youth players come into the first-team is great. With Tyler Roberts the most recent player to make the jump into the squad, there could well be more to follow him from the Leeds academy. In this case, however, it also shows that Bielsa's squad might be struggling already.

As we have seen already this season, both Jansson and Cooper have picked up nocks, while Berardi is out with an injury currently. Adam Forshaw is only just returning while Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez have both missed games recently.

With so much of the season left to go and with Bielsa employing such a demanding style of play, Leeds may rue not being more active in the transfer window.
