Although Arsenal had a stuttering start to the season, Unai Emery’s side has started to string together an impressive 20-game unbeaten run.
Before their draw against Manchester United on Wednesday night, Arsenal had put their best performance of the season against Tottenham as they demolished Spurs 4-2 at the Emirates.
Thanks to their unbeaten, Arsenal have managed to stay in the race for the top four and currently sit two points from Spurs in third and level with Chelsea. However, due to a raft of recent injuries, Arsenal need to dip into the transfer market.
According to The Sun, Emery is interested in a potential £15 million deal for Club Brugges striker Westley Moraes.
The 22-year-old striker has been in superb form for Brugge this season and even scored against Thierry Henry’s Monaco side in the Champions League. So far this year he’s scored seven goals in the league while also grabbing five assists in the Belgian league.
The powerful and dynamic forward who can play as a winger and striker would be a solid piece of business by Emery. Arsenal lack options on the wing and need to add some quality at the position. Moreover, with Danny Welbeck injured, Arsenal don’t really have many options up front and as it stands, Eddie Nketiah looks like the third-choice striker at the moment.
The young forward would be a much-needed addition to the squad even though he might not be at his best immediately.
