Arsenal continued their 15-game unbeaten run at the weekend as they were held to a draw by a well drilled and organised Wolves side.
While the international break can at times come at an inopportune moment for some clubs, following their tough game against Wolves, Arsenal could well benefit from a break.
Within that unbeaten run, Arsenal have now gone three games without a win in the league. The performance against Liverpool was one of the best but against Wolves, Arsenal were lucky not to lose the game.
Emery will now be hoping that his players don’t pick up any injuries while they’re away on international duty and hopefully for Arsenal fans, he will have a relatively full strength side to choose from when they travel to Bournemouth after the break.
In what will come as great news for the Arsenal boss, Alexandre Lacazette pulled out of the France squad, only hours after being picked to replace Anthony Martial.
Despite not being used much at the start of the season, Lacazette has been in fine form for Arsenal since he’s been installed as the starting striker in Emery’s side.
In 12 appearances for the club, the former Lyon man has scored five goals while also recording three assists in the league.
With him and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the side, Arsenal have two of the best forwards in the league and a duo that can take them back into the Champions League.
Having Lacazette pull out from the France squad will hopefully keep him fit and fresh going into the next round of Premier League fixtures.
