Steven Gerrard has made a very impressive start to his Rangers career and although The Gers currently sit fifth in the table, eight points off Hearts with a game hand, Rangers have looked a much more impressive team under the former Liverpool man.

With a huge influx of players coming in the summer, the atmosphere around the Ibrox has completely changed and it's now a very real possibility that Rangers could win the title this year, although, with four other teams also in contention, it's going to be incredibly tough.

What Gerrard has to do over the next few months is keep the side together and hopefully add some more quality to his team in January.

In what will come as bad news for the Rangers fans, according to the Daily Record, West Brom are ready to make a January offer for the defender.

The Breakdown

The Championship side had been very impressive under Darren Moore this season and had tried to sign the defender over the summer.

Despite recently losing in the Scottish League Cup, Tavernier has been a key part of Rangers' form and he's arguably been one of the best players at the club this season.

The right-back has played 21 games for Gerrard this season and has scored eight goals to go with eight assists so far this season.

He did sign a new contract earlier this year and it would take a big bid to take him from the Glasgow club. If he were to leave in January, it would be a huge blow to Gerrard's title hopes.
