# ‘The next Suarez’ – Liverpool fans react to official PL announcement

***The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted by the fine form shown by some of their players this term…***

The Reds have enjoyed a stellar start to the Premier League season, with a 4-0 demolition of Arsenal last weekend proving that they are not to be written off in the Premier League title race.

There have been a number of standout players so far this season: Mo Salah, Emre Can, Jordan Henderson, Roberto Firmino to name a few. However, there has been one player that has been a cut above the rest.

The man in question is, of course, Sadio Mane. The winger was a game changer last season, and the injury he suffered towards the end of the campaign really hurt the Reds’ title credentials.

He has already bagged 3 goals this season in what was a sensational opening month in the Premier League, and he has now been duly rewarded for his fine form. He has been [named the official Premier League Player of the Month](https://www.premierleague.com/news/466971).

A massive achievement and certainly a deserved one, the Liverpool fans on Reddit have spent the last few hours discussing the win, and they’re unanimous in their celebration.
