Nicknamed ‘The Cat’ for his extraordinary reflexes and ability to make almost impossible saves, Bonetti played 729 times for the Blues after making his debut at just 18. He was a major figure in the club’s successes during the 60s and 70s, making vital saves across the decades. He left to move to the US in 1975 but soon returned and took reasserted his legendary status by taking the side to promotion in 1977.
