# There’s one thing that left so many Chelsea fans absolutely delighted against BATE

**Chelsea have enjoyed a brilliant season so far, and things got even better against BATE in the Europa League on Thursday night. Though they’ve won both games in the competition so far, leading into the game against BATE, Chelsea had hardly impressed – with quiet games from many of their often reliable men.**

However, that all changed against their opposition on Thursday. A clinical performance left them leaving Stamford Bridge with a 3-1 win behind them, and the overall performance was sensational.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek was, undoubtedly, the star of the show for the Blues, and he’ll no doubt gain a lot of praise from fans as a result.

However, the Englishman isn’t the only man generating critical acclaim amongst the Stamford Bridge faithful. Indeed, it’s more a collection of people that fans can’t get enough of.

Many Chelsea fans on Twitter have been discussing their team’s midfield options and how they differ so greatly, and are much better, in comparison to last season. Indeed, they’re drawing parallels between options like Danny Drinkwater and Tiemoue Bakayoko instead of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.

It’s fair to say that they’re really impressed with the growth under Sarri. Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…

> Kovicic, Loftus-Cheek and Cesc has been awesome throughout the game… Kovacic bossed the midfield with passes and take-one, Fabregas has been a maestro.. > We once had Drinkwater & Bakayoko fighting for a midfield spot, now its Kovacic, Barkley & RLC. Life is beautiful.
