# These 3 Liverpool under-21 players are under-pressure to make the grade

**As is the way with modern football very few, both players and managers, get time to impress.**

The instant need for success in this era has seen many fall by the way side and players need to show what they’ve got as soon as they can, or they risk seeing their career go up in smoke.

Our local Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern like to think of themselves as a patient bunch but they too want to see success at their club, and expect the very highest of standards from youngsters coming through.

They’ve a heritage of producing class players and so now it comes with the territory that if you want to play for Liverpool you need to be good enough.

Jurgen Klopp certainly seems to understand that and will be drumming it into every player.

Indeed, our landlord thinks the same and wants to see these THREE players who are under the age of 21 begin to show what they’ve got…

## Connor Randall

The full back has made a handful of appearances for the first team but is yet to nail down a first team place.

In recent seasons fellow local players Martin Kelly and Jon Flanagan have both seen their chances dwindle of playing in the Reds’ backline, and so Randall needs to ensure that he does enough to not follow suit.

Anfield wants a local hero and Randall would love to be that.

## Cameron Brannagan

Brannagan is largely in the same boat as Randall except he is from Manchester and not Liverpool.

That aside he too needs to start showing Klopp what he can do when he gets the chance, but will find it difficult given Liverpool’s great midfield options.

If he can get in front of one of them he’ll have done well so it’s time to really knuckle down.

## Pedro Chirivella

Chirivella is slightly younger than the previous two but is still registered with the first team and therefore needs to show he can compete with the elite.

He’s a box of tricks but will have to show substance to go with style to get into Klopp’s side, and that will be his next challenge over the next couple of years.

It could be make or break in that instance, then.
