The derail of rivals Madrid

Barcelona have always had a healthy rivalry with title competitors Real Madrid, as they battle it out in Europe and domestically in a match that is world renowned to be the ‘El Classico’.
However, it’s not only on the football pitch that they battle it out, as they often rival each other in the signature of high class players, with the latest being Spurs star Dele Alli, after he downed Madrid in the Champions League group stage.
Lionel Messi has always wanted to be one up on the Spanish rivals, so it’s not hard to see his logic behind signings the man. As well as welcoming his class and potential into the side, the sale of Alli for the Tottenham side would provide them with a whole heap of funds. This would then give them the incentive to go out and act on rumours of a Gareth Bale return, as they would have created the space and money need to acquire the Welshman.
For a man that’s hurt the Catalan side many times before, they’d be happy to see the back of him.
