‘A trouble maker’ – Not many Leeds fans on Twitter are convinced by Phil Hay update

The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern are all eager to get the signing of David Stockdale from Birmingham complete in the next few days as they look to get their first transfer of the Marcelo Bielsa era over the line.

At 32-years-old, Stockdale provides the perfect blend of experience whilst still being useful and with Bielsa in charge this season the club will be pushing for promotion. If they can secure the signing of Stockdale then the veteran EFL goalkeeper will be able to help mentor the club’s young shot-stopper, Bailey Peacock-Farrell, who came into his own at the back end of last season under Paul Heckingbottom.

The fans believe that this transfer means a lot more for the club than just bringing in a new ‘keeper, as they want to get the ball rolling in the market and get more transfers through the door. The club has supposedly been negotiating with a couple of Championship proven strikers in Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez and if they can continue to bring in players who know the league and get them under the tutelage of their experienced Argentine gaffer then good things will definitely be on the horizon for the club.

As you can see, the Leeds fans will be keen to get their first deal over the line this summer as they target a strong domestic season.
