Marcelo Bielsa continued his dominance in the Championship with Leeds United yesterday as The Whites marched on to a 2-0 win over Rotherham in the first Yorkshire derby of the season. Despite his goalscoring exploits in pre-season, Luke Ayling was yet to score a competitive goal for the club and he finally broke that duck yesterday to open the scoring.
49' GGGGOOOOAAAALLLL!!! @lukeayling_8 SCORES!!!

After a bleak and uneventful first-half performance, the fans were all determined to see more action in the second period and as usual, Bielsa didn’t disappoint. Just four minutes after the restart Ayling had the ball in the net and the fans are buzzing to see that the marauding right-back is off the mark for the club after signing back in 2016 from Bristol City.
The 26-year-old has become a real fan favourite at Elland Road and the supporters will be desperate to see him continue his form and his goalscoring late into the season. With Barry Douglas’ ability to get goals and assists from left-back, having two full-backs who are capable of adding goals to the side will be one of the club’s biggest strengths this season and the supporters are buzzing to see more of Ayling.

The fans will be behind Ayling all the way this season and will be keen to see him on the scoresheet more often.
