Barry Douglas continues to wow Leeds fans

It’s never easy coming into a new team trying to maintain form and gel with your new teammates and the new system. However, Barry Douglas has done all of that and made it look easy. The Scottish left-back has quickly become a fan favourite and the Elland Road faithful again loved him against Millwall on Saturday.

In recent years The Den has been a hellish place for Leeds United to travel. The last time The Whites came away from Millwall with all three points was back in 2012 and on Saturday with the score at 1-0 to the home side going into the last few minutes it looked like it would be yet more misery in the capital for Leeds. However, Jack Harrison stepped up and pulled them level to take a valuable point away from London and the fans were delighted with that.

Barry Douglas again started the game and played the full 90 minutes in London and he’s fast becoming one of the first names on the team sheet. His reliability at left-back to get up and down and help to provide support for his teammates in attack and defence is admirable and it looks more and more like Marcelo Bielsa pulled a blinder when he secured the Scotsman’s signature over the summer.

Being a Leeds fan is enjoyable at the moment and they’ll all be hoping Douglas and co can keep their unbeaten run for a few more weeks.
