Leeds United have not had any lady luck when it comes the injury front, however, they could finally be in for some positive news.
Luke Ayling was the latest player to go down with an issue that will see him spend a significant period of time on the sidelines, joining the likes of Patrick Bamford and Gaetano Berardi.
However, it appears that Marcelo Bielsa could be able to call upon Barry Douglas in the very near future, with the game against Wigan Athletic at the weekend a real possibility.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers man, who arrived at Elland Road this summer, had been out of action with a hamstring injury but it appears as though his recovery is almost complete.
Douglas’ return will come as a timely boost for Leeds and Bielsa as other injury concerns start to mount once again.
The Whites will also be able to benefit from the fact that his return is in a week where they will only have to play one game.
Douglas had been outstanding in his early games for the club and the Elland Road outfit will be delighted to see him return to the first-team in the imminent future.
