Leeds United managed to get themselves back into the automatic promotion places yesterday by getting the better of Millwall in a tight encounter at Elland Road.
The Whites won’t accept anything less than promotion to the Premier League this season having enjoyed so much success up until this point, but it certainly won’t be easy from here on in until the end of the season.
What’s the news?
According to Leeds Live, Barry Douglas is a Leeds United injury doubt.
The Scotland international left Elland Road on last night with a brace down his left leg.
Douglas was seen limping for prolonged periods of the second half in yesterday’s Championship encounter, but precautionary measures have been taken.
Barry Douglas’ injury comes as a potentially huge blow for Leeds at a crucial time in their season with automatic promotion to the Premier League on the line. He may not have been a regular starter up until this point in the current campaign but he was able to provide the assist for Luke Ayling’s goal and he has promotion experience.
Ezgjan Alioski has been superb at left-back since Marcelo Bielsa dropped him back, so it’s been impossible for Douglas to secure regular minutes but his cameo yesterday certainly got Leeds fans off their seats.
Leeds United fans, how big of a miss would Douglas be if he’s out for a while?
