Leeds United managed to get the better of Bolton Wanderers in their last outing in what was a rather heated game, with Josh Magennis’ challenge on Ezgjan Alioski sparking a brawl.
The Whites now find themselves just two points behind Norwich City who currently sit at the top of the Championship table, with a win tonight taking Leeds top.
Indeed, the Yorkshire club received a huge boost ahead of kick-off at Loftus Road, as according to the Yorkshire Evening Post’s recap of Marcelo Bielsa’s press conference, Barry Douglas and Gaetano Berardi are among the 18-man squad.
Barry Douglas has been missing for nearly three weeks with a calf strain but stepped up his return to competitive action as he saw 45 minutes of game time with the Whites Under-23 side recently.
Meanwhile, Gaetano Berardi also continued his own comeback as he came through a third outing with the development squad, after suffering a hamstring strain back in October of last year.
And, it now looks as if both players could see game time later on today, as they’re both among the 18.
Barry Douglas will play a huge part from here on in until the end of the season as he has the quality and experience to help Leeds secure automatic promotion.
Meanwhile, Berardi was one of the standout performers during the first half of the season and the likes of Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson have struggled in recent times, so his return will come as a huge boost.
