Bhatia and McClaren failed to bring in defensive quality

Bhatia and McClaren failed to bring in defensive quality

Queens Park Rangers have gotten off to the worst possible start in the current campaign as they find themselves heading towards relegation to League One.

The Hoops are currently in a spot of bother having suffered a number of heavy defeats in the Championship, with an uphill task facing Steve McClaren from here on in. And, it’s safe to say that they didn’t spend as much as they perhaps should have this summer, with business being left to the last minute.

Indeed, it looks as if the club’s chairman Amit Bhatia and Steve McClaren have failed to bring in any real quality this summer when you take their recent performances into consideration.

Interestingly, the London club did manage to draft in a number of players during the summer transfer window, but it’s clear to see that they didn’t bring in enough defensive quality as things just haven’t worked out so far.

Queens Park Rangers were thumped 7-1 by West Bromwich Albion and suffered a heavy defeat against Bristol City at Loftus Road, so it’s clear to see that they’re struggling defensively this season.

Angel Rangel’s career is currently on decline and summer signing Toni Leistner has struggled to ensure solidity and is still yet to adjust to the English game.
