According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds' biggest pitfall so far this season has been their inability to take their chances.
This comes after The Whites were humiliated 4-1 at the hands of West Brom on Saturday, despite having the lion's share of the ball.
Marcello Bielsa's men had well over twice the amount of possession than The Baggies, as well as completing over 300 more passes. However, they produced five fewer shots than Darren Moore's men, and now questions are starting to be asked regarding the Argentinian's approach.
Bielsa has an unyielding philosophy based on keeping hold of possession and working frantically to win the ball. This has certainly put the team in good stead, as they have dominated possession in almost every game that they have played. However, games like last Saturday's prove that possession of the ball is futile if you do nothing with it.
This will force the manager to restrategize, otherwise they may face more and more results like that as the season progresses. There needs to be a greater focus on the end product in the final third, or the players will start to lose enthusiasm. Bielsa demands a lot from his players on the pitch, and if his style of football is not getting the results the players want, their heads may start to drop.
After being at the top of the Championship last week, The Peacock's have slipped out of the top two with that loss. While this will trouble the club, the most worrying thing is that West Brom laid a blueprint as to how to beat Leeds. It's up to Bielsa to make sure it doesn't happen again.
