Bielsa to make changes ahead of Bolton Cup clash

Leeds United have enjoyed an impressive start to life under Marcelo Bielsa’s management and will be hoping the side do not slip up against Bolton Wanderers.

The Whites will meet the Trotters on Tuesday night in the League Cup and the Argentine manager has revealed that he will make a number of changes for the game at Elland Road, according to a report by Leeds Live.

“Yes, we will have some changes. Some players who played today will play, the majority of players who didn’t played today will play,” he told Leeds Live in a press conference following their impressive 4-1 win against Derby County.

Jamie Shackleton made his debut for the Whites in the game against the Rams when he came off the bench, and he is one that could be given the chance to start from the beginning.

The Verdict:

Leeds’ number one goal this season is to win promotion back to the Premier League, so Bielsa could look to use his younger talents for the League Cup.

Rotation will certainly be key for his side this season and the players who do feature at Elland Road on Tuesday night will be wanting to make sure they leave a lasting impression on the mind of the Argentine.

It could be some week for Shackleton, who has recently signed a new contract with the club, following his debut performance against Derby at the weekend.
