Leeds United fans here in the Tavern will be hoping that their side can secure promotion to the Premier League next season after struggling to assert their dominance.
The Whites were automatic promotion contenders towards the start of the season, but a negative run of results brought about a managerial change as Paul Heckingbottom replaced Thomas Christiansen in the hot seat. And, it’s fair to say that things just haven’t been the same since the Danish boss departed, as Leeds have taken a step backwards under Heckingbottom.
Although, the club will now look to the summer transfer window as the season has come to a close. And, it looks as if many of our local residents will enjoy an exciting summer, as Leeds United are reportedly set for a cash injection as Andrea Radrizzani is preparing to sell a minority stake.
So, with Leeds possibly enjoying a cash injection in the summer transfer window, the club must sign these TWO stars…
Leeds need new faces up front this summer as they still haven’t been able to replace former striker Chris Wood, as many of our local residents want to see a prolific forward join the club in the summer.
Although, Burnley’s Nakhi Wells may just be the answer as the 27-year-old helped the Terriers earn promotion to the Premier League.
Encouragingly, the striker can’t afford to sit another season out on the sideline after being brushed aside by Sean Dyche, as a move back to the Championship may help him rediscover some form.
Kyle Bartley is held in high regard at Leeds but this time last year he was allowed to return to Swansea City without much of a fight.
Indeed, the Whites were defensively sound when they had Pontus Jansson and Kyle Bartley at the heart of their defence, so maybe the club should look to bring the central defender back to Elland Road this summer.
So, with aims of securing promotion to the Premier League next season, bringing the 26-year-old back to the club could help send them on their way as he would be sure to iron over any defensive problems.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
