Sheffield United have been enjoying their start to the Championship season as they currently sit fourth in the table.
The Blades have managed to win six of their opening ten games of the campaign and are currently a point behind leaders West Bromwich Albion.
The Bramall Lane outfit will be looking to keep up the pace, if not leapfrog their rivals, with a victory against Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night.
Chris Wilder will be pleased with the way his side have been performing and has also revealed some positive injury news to one of his players.
Jake Wright has had a difficult beginning to the football calendar this season, having suffered a broken cheekbone in pre-season before picking up a back complaint that has kept him on the sidelines since.
“We’ve got no issues after Millwall, apart from trying to pick the team and trying to get it right,” Wilder said.
“We might have to look at the team, anything can happen injury wise. Kean Bryan played for the U23s yesterday and only having Jake Wright unavailable is fantastic news.
“Jake is back on the grass, and in the next week to ten days he’ll join first-team training. Then he’ll start the process with U23 games like a few other lads have done recently.”
Sheffield United will be pleased to be able to call upon Wright for the first time this season in the near future.
The defender is an extremely experienced player and is definitely someone that is valuable to have around the dressing room.
However, it remains to be seen how often Wilder will use him in the first-team, as he made just 10 Championship appearances for the Blades last season but he could prove to be a useful option.
