Derby County have been one of the form teams in the Championship in recent times, but they failed to secure all three points yesterday as they were thumped by Aston Villa at Pride Park.
The Rams will be desperate to return to winning ways after the international break, with automatic promotion still being a possibility at this stage. However, they did suffer a big setback on the injury front recently, as according to The Derby Telegraph, Craig Forsyth and Mason Bennett have been added to Derby County’s injury list.
Derby County are waiting to find out the severity of injuries to forward Mason Bennett and left back Craig Forsyth.
A hamstring injury forced Bennett off after 51 minutes and he was replaced by Florian Jozefzoon, while Forsyth looked to be in pain with a knee problem when came off 11 minutes from time.
“It was a hamstring injury for Mason Bennett as we could all see, so we will assess how bad that is,”
“With Craig Forsyth, I don’t know. I think it was a knee, but it’s too early to tell.”
Derby County will be gutted that they’re now having to deal with even more injuries having seen the likes of Mason Mount, Craig Bryson, Martyn Waghorn, George Evans and Joe Ledley all suffer.
However, with the international break on the horizon, the Rams will be hoping that a number of their casualties will return during that period.
