Leeds fans have been discussing on Twitter their side’s recent victory over Hull in the Championship.
The win put Marcelo Bielsa’s men at the top of the table- although that may only be for 24 hours- courtesy of a Tyler Roberts goal.
In response to the victory, one of our regular punters delved into Twitter and reported that a lot of Leeds fans were critical of winger Jack Harrison, insisting that he must improve.
The 21-year-old certainly was not bad, but perhaps did not put in a performance similar to some that he has produced this season. He grew into the game, and became more threatening in the second half, but some fans are still critical of his decision making.
However, with news that injured star Pablo Hernandez will be fit after the international break, Leeds mans may not need to put up with Harrison much longer. The Man City loan has deputised superbly for Spain international whilst he has been injured, but his performances may have dropped with the lack of competition for his place. It is likely that the Spaniard will take his place back in the squad, particularly if he shows the form he was in before he was injured.
This will force Harrison to improve his game in order to get a look into Bielsa’s side. Of course he will still feature throughout the season, but the added competition from Hernandez will mean that his place is not secure. This will only make him improve, otherwise he faces a lack of game time.
The fans may be getting what they wished for, as the return of Hernandez will only improve Harrison’s performances.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
