Nottingham Forest fans in the Tavern are expecting many new arrivals at the City Ground this summer as Aitor Karanka looks to transform the squad into promotion contenders.
The Spaniard added over ten new players to his squad in January and is expected to continue to revamp his squad when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
One man who should be on his radar is young Everton forward – Nikola Vlasic.
The 20-year-old joined the Blues in August 2017 for fairly big money from Hajduk Split, signing a five-year-deal at Goodison Park after impressing scouts during Everton’s meeting with the side in the Europa League preliminary round.
Vlasic scored on his Everton debut in the Europa League but has been restricted to just five starts in the Premier League since Sam Allardyce took the reins. He is valued at £7.2m according to Transfermarkt but hasn’t featured in the Premier League since January.
The Croatian international remains a highly-talented prospect but needs first-team football to aid his development. Everton have already sent English wonderkid Kieran Dowell to Forest on loan this season and could do the same with Vlasic as they look to restore his confidence.
He is a quick, tricky winger who would cause plenty of headaches for Championship defences next year and can operate right across the front line making him a versatile option for Karanka to have at his disposal.
First-team football in a lower division could be just what he needs to adapt to life in England with Forest benefitting from his performances as they look to challenge for promotion.
Forest fans, would Nikola Vlasic be a good signing for the Reds? Let us know!
