Birmingham City will still fancy their chances of securing a play-off spot in the current campaign, despite their recent disappointing run of form.
The Blues have come on leaps and bounds under the guidance of Garry Monk but there’s still a couple of things missing at this moment in time, with a couple of key injuries taking their toll.
However, the Midlands club received a huge boost on the injury front recently, as according to Birmingham Live, Monk will see David Davis in the first-team in the next week or so.
Indeed, the Blues midfielder has not played this season after suffering a serious ankle injury in the summer.
But, things have stepped up a level in recent times, as Garry Monk had this to say:
“He’s back, he’s training and he’s fully fit in terms of being back in training,”
“Davo is a naturally fit player and it’s not going to take a great deal of football for him to be back and be ready for selection, so we’ll see him in the next week or so.”
David Davis was one of the standout performers for Birmingham City last season, so it comes as a huge boost that they look set to welcome him back in the next week or so.
He could be the missing piece that could take their promotion push to the next level once he returns.
