With the 5Pm transfer deadline rapidly approaching, Marcelo Bielsa and the rest of the Championship managers will be working tirelessly to bring in a handful of new players before it's too late.

Indeed, deadline day is naturally the busiest day of the summer, and a positive result against Stoke City certainly won't prevent Leeds United from attempting to add quality to their squad before the deadline passes.

And according to a recent report from Birmingham Live, the Whites could have a fantastic opportunity to sign Albert Adomah before 5PM now that Aston Villa have rejected the opportunity to negotiate a new deal with the 30-year-old winger.

Earlier this week the highly-respected Leeds journalist Phil Hay confirmed the club have a 'genuine' interest in signing Adomah, so with these points to consider there is every chance the Ghana international will swap Villa Park for Elland Road later today.

Leeds got their Championship campaign off to a flying start on Sunday afternoon as they confidently recorded a 3-1 victory over Stoke City on Bielsa's managerial debut, with the likes of Pablo Hernandez and Ezgjan Alioski providing quality from the flanks.

However, Bielsa cannot rely on Hernandez to stay match-fit and injury free for a 46-fixture campaign at 33-years-of-age, so the arrival of a new right-winger should be considered a necessity to ensure Leeds' attack is well stocked for the season.

And signing a player such as Adomah who possesses plenty of Championship experience and a proven track-record in the final-third would be the perfect way for Leeds to strengthen on deadline day.

Adomah demonstrated his ability to make a decisive impact in the final-third last season by scoring 14 goals and providing 5 assists from 39 fixtures on Villa's route to the playoff final, topping the goalscoring charts in the process.

With both a prolific goalscoring record and experience competing for promotion to bring to the table, there's no doubt that Bielsa should be doing everything in his power to bring him to the club on deadline day to add a significant layer of quality to his attacking options.
