Derby County will turn their attention towards the FA Cup on Saturday when they meet Brighton and Hove Albion at The AMEX Stadium.
A place in the quarter-finals awaits the winners with extra time and penalties a possibility, should the game end a draw after 90 minutes.
Frank Lampard, who has been enjoying a hugely successful managerial debut, will want to see his Rams make the most of their opportunity against the Premier League outfit and will feel confident that they are capable of progressing into the next round.
And, according to a match preview on the club’s official website, it appears the Championship side may have been handed a timely boost ahead of the trip to the south coast.
Jack Marriott is available and in contention for the game after missing the last four matches for Derby.
The forward was unwell for their fourth-round game against Accrington Stanley and has since been sidelined with an ankle problem.
The game has come too quickly for new signing Efe Ambrose, whilst Scott Carson has been ruled out.
Derby have produced a number of shocks this season in both domestic cups this season and Lampard will be keen to see his side record another one on Saturday.
And, with Marriott being available, their chances of recording another victory against a Premier League outfit could be even better.
The 24-year-old has been in fine form this season as he has seven goals and three assists in his 22 Championship appearances.
