Derby County will look to make a return to the Championship playoffs when they host Millwall on Wednesday night at Pride Park.
Frank Lampard’s side are coming off of a defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup last weekend and will want to focus on their aims of achieving promotion.
The Rams were held to a 1-1 draw with rock-bottom Ipswich Town at Portman Road in their last outing and fell out of the top-six over the weekend.
Millwall have the potential to cause Lampard’s side some problems, as they will be in a positive mood after securing their place in the next round of the FA Cup, whilst they look to try and beat the drop in the Championship.
However, according to a match preview by BBC Sport, it would appear that Derby have some positive news ahead of the encounter.
Jack Marriott made his return to the squad at the weekend and will now be pushing for a starting place after he made a substitute appearance, as did George Evans.
Ashley Cole will also be looking to get his first start for his new club after scoring their only goal in the defeat to Brighton.
The news that Marriott will be in a position to be challenging for a starting spot in the side will be welcomed by Lampard and Derby.
With the match against Millwall a potential banana skin, Lampard will be hoping the 24-year-old is in fine form and can fire The Rams back into promotion contention on Wednesday night.
The forward has been in fine form for The Rams this season, as he has managed to hit seven goals in his 22 Championship appearances so far and has played a key role in their quest to win promotion to the Premier League.
