The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been urging their club to drop their intentions to sign Abel Hernandez as the injury-prone ex-Hull City striker looks destined to join CSKA Moscow according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Whilst Hernandez would no doubt improve the squad at Elland Road, the fans aren’t too fussed that the striker could be going elsewhere as they would all rather see Matej Vydra signed this summer. At the start of the silly season, The Whites had Vydra and Hernandez penned as their two top targets, however, it’s unlikely that the club would have ever been able to finance both of the strikers and at some point, the club would have had to choose.
It seems that choice has been made by the fans who are more than happy to let Hernandez be on his way to Moscow to sign for Champions league side, CSKA. Vydra has emerged as the number one transfer target for the club this summer and it’s no surprise to see that. The versatile forward who can be deployed as a number nine or a number ten finished as the top scorer in the league last season with 21 goals and the fans will be keen to see him repeat the feat if he does sign next season.

Not sure we can really claim he’s a target anymore lads.

He’s not worth more than 20/25k a week let’s be honest. He’s injured more than he plays. Move on

Bored of this saga now. If it’s a good deal then take it.

He’s might regret it when he’s training on those cold winter mornings when it’s minus ten

The Leeds fans don’t seem to fussed to be missing out on Hernandez and will be keen to put this one behind them as soon as possible.
