Sheffield Wednesday fans here in the Tavern are praying that Jos Luhukay can bring in an exciting winger this summer. Indeed, the Owls had Adam Reach as their main attacking outlet in wide areas, with Lucas Joao and Atdhe Nuhiu struggling for service at times.
The Owls will want to strengthen this summer as they could challenge for a promotion spot next season. And, with Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Ben Marshall reportedly looking for a move away, perhaps Jos Luhukay should look to swoop in with an attractive offer.
Marshall was sent out on loan to Millwall back in January and enjoyed a very successful loan spell at the Den. The 27-year-old helped The Lions push for a play-off place last season, but not even his three goals and five assists were enough to get the job done.
Indeed, the Englishman is an accomplished crosser of the ball and can find the back of the net from range. So, with the likes of Atdhe Nuhiu and Lucas Joao leading the line, the Owls could be an unstoppable force in the final third over the course of the next campaign. And, many of our local residents would even go as far as saying that they could challenge for promotion next season if they line up with Adam Reach and Ben Marshall.
Although, Millwall are believed to be in early talks with the midfielder over a permanent move, but Sheffield Wednesday still have plenty of time to swoop in and make Wolves an offer that’s hard to turn down.
