When QPR made the double loan signing of Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells in the final days of August, it looked as though the club had turned a corner after their rough start to the season.
The Rs had failed to earn a point in their opening four games of the season, and manager Steve McClaren was under pressure to pull his side out of the mire. Since Hemed signed from Brighton and Wells signed from Burnley, their fortunes have turned.
The Hoops beat Wigan and drew with Birmingham to pull themselves from the foot of the table, with Hemed earning the winner against Wigan. The Israeli striker has hit the ground running since arriving at Loftus Road, but his partner up front Well appears to be finding his feet.
So we asked you whether you thought these two should start as an attacking duo for the club, and these were the results:
With 95% of fans being in favour of the two starting together, it is clear to see how the fans view these two as their best options.
In this day and age, playing with two strikers is becoming outdated, but that didn’t stop McClaren using the tactic against Birmingham, and it is clearly one that got the vote from the fans.
QPR fans will hope that this partnership will continue to help The Rs climb up the table.
