Leeds United fans here in the Tavern will be hoping that their side can secure promotion next season, with the summer transfer window being of huge importance.
Paul Heckingbottom will need to get things right this summer as he hasn’t enjoyed the best of starts, having struggled to ensure consistency since joining the club back in February.
Although, it looks as if Leeds are already looking to bring in reinforcements, as they’re reportedly weighing up a move for Hull City striker Abel Hernandez. But, their recruitment won’t stop there as the Whites will need to bring in another striker to partner the impressive South American, having seen how inconsistent the likes of Caleb Ekuban, Jay-Roy Grot and Pierre Michel Lasogga were this season.
With that in mind, if Abel Hernandez does end up making the move to Elland Road, then the Uruguayan will need this strike partner to join him ASAP…
The Burnley striker has struggled to break into the starting lineup at Turf Moor, as he continues to stagnate behind the scenes after a wasteful season in the Premier League.
Encouragingly, the 27-year-old has already shown that he can work his magic in the Championship, having scored 17 goals for former club Huddersfield Town during 2015-16 and 10 times during last year’s promotion-clinching campaign.
So, the Whites will definitely be interested in partnering Abel Hernandez with Nakhi Wells if they can secure a deal for them both, as a combination of pace and power would be too hot for most sides to handle next season.
