According to The Birmingham Post, West Brom could be without star man Dwight Gayle, as well as Gareth Barry, Kieran Gibbs and Ahmed Hegazi for Blackburn's visit tomorrow.

This will be the last thing that manager Darren Moore would want after his side have endured a blip in their season's progress.

The Baggies were sat at the top of the Championship table at the beginning of the month, but have only managed to win one game since then. That includes back-to-back losses at the hands of Wigan and Derby. The midweek humiliation at home to The Rams was a low point in the season for West Brom, and they must bounce back tomorrow against Tony Mowbray's men.

While these absences will be a bitter blow to The Baggies, there are some positives. Had these injuries come when the team were at their zenith, it would have been harder to change the squad around. This is the perfect time for new faces to come in, as the performances are not fantastic at the moment. In all likelihood, West Brom can only improve their performances, therefore it is the easiest time for new faces to come in.

Of course, it will be hard to replace the likes of Gayle, who has simply been electric so far this season, but it is nonetheless a better time to lose him. The Baggies don't necessarily have any momentum to lose at the moment.

Despite this slump, Moore's men only sit two points behind league leaders Leeds in fourth place, meaning they are still well and truly in the hunt with a win tomorrow.
