After the news emerged that Premier League clubs Cardiff and Burnley are interested in signing West Brom’s Matt Phillips, we discussed how the club would deal without him.
The Scotland international has been pivotal to The Baggies’ success this season, and is one of the leading reasons why they are one of the favourites for promotion from the Championship. Darren Moore has used him in a variety of positions and he has continued to perform, hence why he is sought after from these Premier League teams.
With that in mind, we asked you whether West Brom could replace Phillips this season, and these were the results:
The West Brom fans clearly see Phillips as indispensable, with 84% believing he cannot be replaced. Unfortunately that does not mean he will not leave for the right price, which must be a worry for Moore and the fans alike. That also does not mean that The Baggies cannot enjoy some success this season without him, however.
