Leeds United fans here in the Tavern will be hoping that their side can secure promotion next season, as they’ll look to splash the cash during the summer transfer window.
Paul Heckingbottom will certainly need to prove his worth over the course of the summer transfer window, as he has failed to meet expectations since taking over at Elland Road. Indeed, having seen a couple of players impress under his guidance towards the end of the season, he may want to offer them a new deal as just reward for their efforts.
Tom Pearce established himself as arguably the most promising player at the club this season, as he put in a number of established performances towards the end of the campaign. Although, with Everton already looking to lure him to Goodison Park in the summer transfer window and his contract set to run out in June, Leeds will want to tie him down to a new long-term deal.
Therefore, it’s time Leeds United rewarded Tom Pearce with a new deal…
The 20-year-old managed to score his first senior goal for Leeds United when the Whites played Barnsley towards the end of April.
Although, his contract is set to expire in June, so Leeds will be desperate to tie him down to a long-term contract at the club, as he could easily make the left-back position his own next season.
Indeed, having seen the likes of Ryan Sessegnon and James Maddison establish themselves as two of the most exciting products in English football this season, perhaps Tom Pearce can follow in their footsteps if he manages to enjoy a run in the first-team next season.
