Leeds United have been playing some great football under Marcelo Bielsa this season already, however, they do not expect one man to hit his best until the new year.
The attacking midfielder joined fellow Chelsea players Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker on a temporary deal at Elland Road, despite still recovering from a serious injury he picked up earlier in the year.
The 21-year-old suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury (ACL) during his loan spell with Brighton and Hove Albion in January and had to make a swift return to his parent club.
However, Leeds are now prepared to take a chance on him, although it is believed that he won’t make a first-team appearance until October, with Bielsa feeling it could be after the turn of the year that he makes a significant impact for the Whites.
Leeds will have known that Brown is still recovering from his ACL injury and would have been prepared to take a chance on the highly-rated midfielder.
With the club realising that the player won’t reach his peak until 2019, it appears that the £4.5million-rated youngster, as per Transfermarkt, has time on his hands and will not be pushed too much once he returns from the sidelines.
However, there will be some expectation about Brown’s contribution once he is back in the side, as the Elland Road outfit and Bielsa will always demand the best from their squad players.
