Jack Harrison’s first Leeds goal was one for the fans to savour

Leeds United’s wait for a league win against Millwall at The Den will continue after they drew 1-1 against the London club yesterday. However, it could have been worse as they managed to savour a point in the 89th minute when Jack Harrison stepped up to drill an effort into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

Harrison has come in for a bit of stick from the Leeds fans so far in his short career at Elland Road, but now that he’s had some time to settle down and get to know his teammates and Marcelo Bielsa’s system he’s improving. There’s almost no better time to score your first goal for your new club than in the last few minutes of a tough away day to keep your unbeaten run going.

That’s exactly what the young winger did, though, and the fans love him for it. The last time Leeds won away at Millwall was back in 2012 when Harry Kane was turning out for the London club, and whilst they were unable to take all three points away from the capital, getting a point and avoiding what has become an almost routine loss at The Den is a huge result for the Whites.

The fans loved seeing Harrison bag his first goal for the club and they’ll be hoping there are plenty more goals to come for the classy young winger.
