Jos Luhukay could finally hand debuts to duo

Sheffield Wednesday will be preparing for their upcoming clash with Stoke City on Saturday afternoon and will have been boosted by some recent team news.

According to the club’s official website, Jos Luhukay could finally be able to hand debuts out to Michael Hector and Josh Onomah.

The duo both joined the club in the final days of the loan window at the end of August and both trained with the squad for the first time on Thursday.

The pair have both returned from international duty and it is believed that Luhukay could wait as long as possible to see whether they can start from the beginning or be involved from the substitutes bench.

Atdhe Nuhiu and Ash Baker were also involved with their respective nations during the latest break and are also available for the Hillsborough outfit.

However, the Owls will be without Fernando Forestieri as he starts the first of his three-match ban following a brawl that happened in a pre-season friendly against Mansfield Town.

Gary Hooper will also be absent as he is still some way off of making a return to first-team action, whilst Kieran Lee suffered a heartbreaking setback on his road to recovery.

The Verdict:

Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to build on the momentum they had prior to the international break after picking up three consecutive wins in the Championship.

Luhukay will also be keen for the team to pick up points against the Potters, as they face a tough run of fixtures with Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Leeds United all to come in the coming weeks.

However, the Owls, who will be without Forestieri, will be boosted with the news that their loanees will be able to feature for them on Saturday, as they look to climb up the table.
