Jos Luhukay happy with his Sheffield Wednesday squad

Jos Luhukay happy with his Sheffield Wednesday squad

Sheffield Wednesday had a difficult transfer window this summer as they faced all sorts of problems, but they did manage to make a couple of loan additions as the deadline approached.

Both Michael Hector and Josh Onomah arrived from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur respectively to give the Owls an added boost to their squad.

And, according to a report by the Sheffield Star, Jos Luhukay is thought to be happy with the team he has, as they head into the international break.

The Dutchman is believed to be happy with the defensive options that he has available to him following Hector’s arrival.

The Hillsborough Stadium outfit have started their Championship campaign brightly, with three wins on the bounce and have amassed ten points from a possible 18.

Luhukay’s side initially had a difficult start to the season, although it appears that he has turned things around quickly and they will be preparing to face Stoke City once the international break is over.

The Verdict:

Following all the troubles that Wednesday had this summer, Luhukay would be right to be happy with the options he has.

There would be a sense that the manager would have liked a few more additions this summer, however, the embargo that they had placed on them, as well as having been able to keep the likes of Fernando Forestieri, they have not done too badly.

The Championship season is a long one and it remains to be seen how the squad will cope, although things look to have started off well for Luhukay and the Owls.
