Sheffield Wednesday picked up their first win in seven attempts on Tuesday night when they defeated Bolton Wanderers at Hillsborough.
The Owls, who have been struggling recently, managed to take the three points in what was a scrappy affair through Tom Lees’ header in the second half.
The pressure will have eased slightly on boss Jos Luhukay as they managed to climb up to 14th in the Championship table following a tough period for the Yorkshire outfit.
However, it appears as though the Dutchman could have another injury concern on his hands after Steven Fletcher told him he needed to be substituted.
The Scotland international has had a busy couple of weeks, having represented his country in the Nations League as well as playing a number of Championship games for the Owls.
“He had a problem with his head, he was dizzy, and we must see in the next days how he is,” he said.
When questioned about it further, he added: “No but his view was not 100 per cent and he struggled and he asked to be changed.”
Sheffield Wednesday have been without a number of their key players this season and will be concerned about Fletcher’s latest issue.
The Scotland international has spent the bulk of the calendar year on the sidelines already and the Owls will be hoping it is just a case of tiredness for the 31-year-old after a hectic few weeks.
Luhukay will be pleased his side ended the rot they were in and will now be looking ahead to their game against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday at Ewood Park.
