Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are really looking forward to seeing how the season ends for them with them well in with a chance of promotion.
The Whites have done very well this season under Garry Monk and have looked as strong as they have for some time both on and off the field.
Indeed, they really do look good enough to go up to the Premier League and they’ll be hoping to finish the season strongly with their best players remaining fit being key to that.
Certainly, then, Chris Wood is one important key component but the club is sweating on his fitness at the moment after he was sent home from international duty with New Zealand early.
And, according to Phil Hay on Twitter, the club are hoping he will be fit for a massive game against Reading at the weekend – though he does need to be assessed:
Information Leeds have is that Wood has a minor knock. Hopeful of being fit for Saturday but will be assessed when he returns. #lufc

Tense times for Leeds fans, then, as they wait to see if their prolific striker makes fitness in time for yet another big promotion clash.
