Leeds fans love Bielsa’s gesture to his former club

After Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa gave a donation to his former club Newell’s Old Boys, fans have taken to Twitter to show their support for the Argentinian. 

Bielsa played and managed the club in his homeland, and therefore donated almost £2m for a new training facility there.

The manager said that it wasn’t a donation, rather it was “repaying a debt”. Leeds fans have taken very kindly to this act, not only in awe of the gesture, but also what Bielsa said. It seems like the man can do no wrong at Elland Road, and this will only win over more fans, not only from his own club, but from all over England and Argentina.

Newell’s Old Boys are currently struggling in the Superliga Argentina de Fútbol, sitting only four places above bottom place. This donation will surely go a long way in helping the club.
