Luke Ayling has been one of Marcelo Bielsa’s go-to men this season. The ex-Bristol City defender has started in all of the club’s Championship games bar one this season and that was only because he received a red card in the previous match, however, he now looks set to miss a few more as he picked up a nasty looking injury against Forest, which you can read about on The YEP’s website.
Luke Ayling to undergo scans tomorrow morning as Leeds United wait to learn the extent of his injury:https://t.co/D8zD6e7orM

A lot of fans are fearing the worst over poor Luke Ayling. Last season it was against Nottingham Forest where he suffered a serious injury and with the defender having a scan on his knee at some point this morning the fans will get a better idea of what they’re looking at in terms of timescales as they prepare for a tough festive period without him. Alongside Barry Douglas and Patrick Bamford, the Whites will be hoping his setback isn’t a long one.
The game finished 1-1 on Saturday evening and it was only thanks to a controversial late goal from Kemar Roofe that Marcelo Bielsa’s side were able to leave with a point. However, if you gave the fans the choice they probably would have sacrificed the point to keep their first-choice right-back fit. Unfortunately, that’s not an option and after Ayling was subbed after just 25 minutes yesterday it looks like young Jamie Shackleton will be deputising on the right of the Whiters backline.
You can read the Leeds fans’ verdict on Ayling’s injury here:
Like every other injury this season it's nailed on hell be out for ages. Not getting any luck on that front this season so far. With berardi out too, what's the contingency at right back?

Another injury to a key player – seems the norm so far this season…shows how great the squad is doing with our current position.

The Whites will be desperate to have Ayling back as soon as possible but until he undergoes his scan today we won’t know.
