Last night saw Marcelo Bielsa mastermind a controlled 2-0 win over bottom of the table Ipswich. The Whites piled the misery on Paul Hurst, although it could have been different if Gaetano Berardi had stayed on the pitch instead of succumbing to injury in the first half.
Dallas getting ready to come on. Berardi down injured. #lufc

Berardi is a class player and the Leeds fans weren’t pleased to see him subbed because he’s not good enough, instead, they were worried that if he didn’t get subbed off that he’d be sent off. The Swiss defender received three red cards last season and as he filled in for the suspended Pontus Jansson yesterday he found himself in the referee’s book after just 15 minutes, meaning that when he came off injured after 27 minutes there was more relief than frustration.
Hopefully, the experienced Championship man isn’t out for too long and the fans will want to see him back sooner rather than later, but during yesterday’s game they were all delighted to see him come off as they feared that they could face an uphill battle with ten men and make a real meal of beating Ipswich, who can’t seem to buy a win at the moment. Next up for The Whites is Nottingham Forest and with Jansson back in the fold, Berardi will have time to recover from whatever he knock he’s suffered.

not the worst thing, on a yellow and a double footer afterwards…

Hmmm could be a blessing after getting booked so early

I’m not going to lie, Berardi had an inevitable red card coming his way, so I don’t exactly mind….. Although Dallas needs to prove a few people wrong

Not a bad thing at all. Berardi has been terrible. Red card waiting to happen. Off you go. Step up Dallas. Step up.

Good, he was looking odds on for a red tonight. Shockingly bad.

It's better than being sent off…

The Whites were pleased to see Berardi come off and whilst they hope he’s back quickly the win last night was too important to miss out on.
