Marcelo Bielsa seems determined to turn some of the current Leeds United academy players into fully fledged first-teamers by the end of the season, and Jack Clarke is reaping the rewards from that. The young winger has made five appearances from the bench this season and played both of the second halves against Reading and Sheffield United this week.
Bielsa on Clarke: "Every time he plays, he adapts to the demands of playing for Leeds. He doesn't look like a young player. Every time he plays, he makes the difference." #lufc

It seems that the supporters aren’t the only ones who are delighted with the 18-year-old. After the Sheffield United clash, Bielsa faced the media and answered a question on Clarke where he claimed the youngster always adapts to the demands of playing for Leeds and that he always makes the difference. To be fair to Bielsa, he’s not wrong as it was Clarke’s pressing of Dean Henderson which led to The Whites’ winner yesterday.
The rise of Clarke could be seeing the fall of Ezgjan Alioski, though, the Macedonian winger has been hooked at half-time two matches in a row now for the youngster and in both games, the fans have been much more pleased with the efforts of the youngster. The future is obviously bright for Clarke and as the fans continue to call for him to be given a start, Bielsa will just have to be wary over his opportunities to avoid burning the 18-year-old out.

Another great game , looking more and more the part but I hope he's played slowly and not burnt out. Looks good enough though and is learning all the time

All of a sudden our small squad doesn’t seem so small. Likes of Clarke, Halme & Shackleton stepping up!!! Brown and Bamford back soon. Let’s hope Coops injury isn’t too bad.

The Whites can’t get enough of Clarke at the moment and will just hope he can carry on developing, adding goals and assist from out wide.
