Leeds send Alejandro Machuca on loan to Spanish side Burgos

Leeds United are continuing their efforts to try and add players to their squad this summer as Marcelo Bielsa looks to complete an overhaul of the team.

The manager, however, has encountered a number of setbacks when trying to bring in his main targets which has led to concerns that the Whites may not be able to get everyone they want in time before the transfer window shuts.

Bielsa has brought Chelsea duo Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman to the club so far on season-long loans, but his quest to strengthen other areas is still far from complete.

However, it does not appear that he has a problem with letting a number of his youngsters from heading out on loan, with a talented youth side at the club’s disposal.

According to the club’s official website, they have sent Alejandro Machuca on a season-long to Spanish side Burgos.

The Verdict:

The Spanish winger arrived at Elland Road last summer and spent the season playing for the developmental side, where he starred during the latter stages of the campaign.

The 20-year-old would have been hoping for a chance in the first-team under Bielsa, however, it would have been likely that he would have continued his development in the Under-23’s side.

However, a loan to the Spanish third division side could do Machuca a world of good, as he looks to get regular minutes under his belt, whilst the competition of the league may be a bit more rewarding for him than academy football.
