Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are sick of seeing their side perform averagely in the Championship and still believe their beloved club deserves to be in the top flight of English football once again.
It really has been a poor showing from Leeds this season and with the climax upon us, there is nothing to celebrate again. The season started so well for the Lilywhites and their pacey, dynamic team looked to be early favourites for promotion to the Premier League. Then typically, Leeds underperformed and have done ever since, finding themselves below half-way in the Championship.
If the Elland Road side want to make a bid to return to the Premier League, having one eye on the future would be a smart decision to make. For this we propose the addition of Birmingham’s Che Adams, the striker who is valued at £2.25 million on Transfermarkt.
The youngster hasn’t quite lived up to the potential he threatened to show but even still, in a struggling Birmingham side, Che Adams has helped the team with seven goals in 27 appearances. This for someone who isn’t a starter is a decent return and the 21-year-old should be considered by Leeds as a player who could flourish with better service around him.
Leeds themselves have been poor in the striking department so this transfer has the potential to work out for both parties. If the Lilywhites are seriously hoping to turn around their recently poor fortunes and mount a promotion push, Che Adams could be one for the future who can bring success to Elland Road.
