Leeds fans in the Tavern are probably still celebrating their side’s 2-1 win over Barnsley last time out ahead of a trip to Norwich next weekend.
Leeds are in mid-table after failing to build on last season’s successes, where they almost finished in the Play-Off places.
The win over Barnsley was just the third time Leeds have tasted victory in 2018 and only the third time manager Paul Heckingbottom has come out victorious since taking charge of the club. He took over the club in February meaning he was unable to operate in the transfer market and transform the squad to fit his ideas, so the summer transfer window will be his first chance to buy.
A striker should be top of his wish list with the Whites looking to add firepower to their front line in the hope of challenging for promotion. Still, high on their wish list should be Liverpool forward, Harry Wilson, who is currently enjoying a fruitful loan spell with Hull City.
Wilson has netted seven goals in just 11 Championship appearances since joining the Tigers in January and has been vital in securing their safety in the division. The forward, who recently made his Wales international debut, is expected to take a role with the first-team when he returns to Merseyside, by our punters at least.
However, Jurgen Klopp could decide another season out on loan may be the best move for the youngster if he lands the majority of his summer transfer targets. Valued at £900k by Transfermarkt, the Welshman is destined for a big future and could certainly thrill the Elland Road crowd, should he arrive.
Wilson would be the perfect signing on loan for Leeds, and he has proven he can score goals at Championship level.
Whether Liverpool would allow him to leave remains the only stumbling block.
