Leeds United will be looking to keep their place at the top of the Championship table when they meet Nottingham Forest at Elland Road in Saturday’s late evening game.
The Whites returned back to winning ways in midweek when they beat Ipswich Town and Marcelo Bielsa will be keen to see that dominating performance be taken into the match against the Tricky Trees.
Gaetano Berardi will be unavailable for selection once again this season after he picked up a knock in the win on Wednesday night.
The Swiss defender, who has already spent time on the sidelines, will find himself in the treatment room again after he sustained a hamstring injury, putting him alongside Barry Douglas as Bielsa’s two absentees for the game.
Pontus Jansson, however, will be available for the game after he served his one-match suspension following the remarks he made about an official prior to the international break.
Leeds and Bielsa will be frustrated by the news that Berardi is set to spend further time on the sidelines and his absence will be a blow to the side.
The defender has been a key player for the side this season when he has been available, however, the concerns over his absence will have been eased with the returning Jansson coming back into the fold.
Leeds will have the opportunity to watch what all their promotion-chasing rivals do prior to playing their fixture against Nottingham Forest, however, you can guarantee the only result Bielsa will want is a home win.
